1) Your in-game name
- I am known under many names:
Druid: Askandus
DK: Yaargh
Warlock: Naeomee
Rogue: Euiko
lower alts excluded
2) Class, level, and spec.
- Askandus is a lvl 80 Druid, Main specced Tank, Off-Specced Moonkin. However my moonkin gear is as up-to-date as my Tank gear.
3) Alts in addition to your main toon (name, class, level, spec)
- Yaargh: Level 80 DeathKnight, Main spec: Frost-Tank, Offspec: Unholy DPS
- Naeomee: Level 80 Warlock, Mainspec: Destruction, Offspec: Affliction
- Euiko: Level 80 Rogue, Mainspec and Offspec undefined as they are both equivalent... Level 200 Gear
4.0) Previous raiding experience (Pre BC, BC, and WotLK). Include which raids you have experience with (WoW Classic, BC, how far in Ulduar, ToC, and ICC).
**Please remember, this is not where your guild has progressed, this is where you have progressed. We're looking for your experience level (raiding, strategy, etc).
- I've been raiding since vanilla WoW, wiping over and over in MC, BWL and AQ. Back then I was all about my rogue But then things changed.. There were rogues everywhere! Rolled a druid, went resto until BC. In BC I was tanking with my druid mostly. From Karahzan up to SSC and TK. Switched to Horde and never saw further. Came back to alliance with the WotLK and I've seen pretty much everything so far except the 3-4 last bosses in ICC.
5) Please provide an Armory link to your profile.
- http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n=Askandus (may be in tank gear/spec)
6) Previous guilds and why you left them (very important question).
- Been in Idiosyncrasy for a little while. I joined them when we started Ulduar and left eventually because of some RL issues. I came back to them lately but sadly have not been able to raid with them in a while since my work schedule does not work with their Raid start. (I get home about 15 minutes after they start.) Before Idiosyncrasy I've been the leader of one guild (Simplicity) and Officer in a frenchie guild (Les Guerriers de Fer). They were a very good bunch but liked the drama a little too much and then someday the xfered.. I stayed behind
7) Your age (How old are you, the player, not how long have you played the game).
- I am approximately 236 520 Hours old. Or if you prefer, 27.
8 ) How you heard about us.
- I have seen you guys a lot in main towns and have always been wondering if you were a late night guild. Then my GF applied to join your ranks and I asked some questions. And well.. here I am
9) What days and times are you available to raid? When are you unable to raid. (It is understood that this can change over time, but for the near to distant future, what do you expect?) Our potential raid times are listed below, please confirm all that apply:...
(Raid invite start 30 minutes prior to the raid start time (ie, 7:30 invites for an 8:00 raid) so if you log on at 7:45 in this example, your spot may be already taken)
- To be honest I would be available mostly all of these days. Unless I do over time one evening, I usually get home at around 7h15. So invites at 7h30 for an 8hpm raid gives me time to make a quick dinner and be ready on time. I wouldn't be there everyday but would be possible to make it to 2-3 or even 4 raids a week depending on other RL things.
- Sunday 8:00-11:00pm (Progression Raid)
- Monday 8:00-11:00pm (Weekly "Clean-up")
- Tuesday 8:00-11:00pm (Progression/Farm Raid)
- Wednesday 8:00-11:00pm (10-mans)
- Thursday 8:00-11:00pm (10-mans or 25 continuation)
- Friday 8:30-12:00pm (special achievement runs)
- Saturday (Various)

- ** Even though we do not have an attendance requirement in order to join or raid with IA, would you be willing to "lock in" some days to raid? If so, what days can you raid each week? [FYI - our "Progression Raids" are the highest priority for raiding in order to help facilitate quick progression through new content]
10) Are you willing to respec if needed by the guild in order to help advance through instances?
- Definitely. Advance as a whole and die together.
11) You will need to Download a few mods for raiding (the links will be available on our website). Do you have any problems with this?
[Omen - Threatmeter] - DPS at your own risk, if you pull agro then it's on your head
[Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs - Raid Boss timers] - No-brainer here, don't miss any obvious boss alerts
[Ventrilo] - Required, no exceptions.
- Have em all.. Like any good raider..
Some other Downloads that are common and can be helpful, but NOT required...
12) Any additional information you would like us to consider?
- Well I'd like to add that I am a serious player. I get to my raids prepared with my own food (even if guild supplies them sometimes), flasks, mats, water. I focus on the assignments given to me and am a very aware player. I am usually quiet but I do like to help, run stuff, help with CDs (cause with all my alts I have lots of professions) and such. I apply as a Druid but if you might be needing any of my other toons instead of a druid, let me know and I'll work up the gear fast.
OH! I also like to kick ass and chew bubblegum... Lost the bubblegum though..
13) Do you have any questions?
- Nope. All clear cap'n.
14) Have you read the Guild Charter and do you understand what it says? This is very important since it outlines our core values as well as addresses some serious points.
- Been over it quickly but will go and re-read the whole thing as soon as I am done here.
15) When raiding, Damage Meters are a common tool used to gauge one's DPS, Healing, etc. They are often used to "boast" or to "show off", rather than being used as a tool to improve. Everyone in a raid has a role, and fulfilling that role is the most important key to success, NOT necessarily the damage or healing done per second. Do you understand that we do NOT allow posting of damage meters in raid and by doing so you can forfeit your ability to receive loot and/or participate in future raids? (FYI - if you wish to use a damage meter for improving your performance, then it is 100% encouraged).
- I understand. Hope there'd be such a rule for GearScore too..
16) For our 10-man raids we use a Need/Greed system (1 Need item per player per run) rather than a sophisticated looting system. For our 25-man raids we will use a GCP system (Guild Contribution Points) that combines a classic DKP system with contribution points available for guildees. (any attempts to "find a loophole" or try to take advantage of any looting system will cause all looting and raiding priviledges to be suspended or removed completely.
Do you have any questions about this system?
- Sounds fair. I'm used to EPGP and classic DKP systems.
17) What are you looking for in our guild? A guild is a 2-way street with give and take. Are you looking to raid in our progression content? Are you looking for a social outlet? Are you looking to gear up in our early raid content? Do you have friends in the guild already and simply want to be in their company? Please be specific - this is important for your longevity. We have many raiders that have been with us for over 2 years and a common understanding between all members and the guild leadership is key to that longevity.
- Technically I'm looking for a place to feel like I'm useful and respected. A place where I can raid 10 and/or 25 mans and enjoy my evenings. Yes I would like to be allowed to bring my alts to lower level raid because I enjoy playing different toons once in a while but I also understand that some people may need geared people to help and am willing to help as well. And also for the past year, the person I've been playing most with is my GF and I would very much like to be able to keep it up. Not that I can't play with her if we're not together in the same guild (which we've been doing), but you know...
18) Do you understand that it is your responsibility to apply for and log on to the Member forums in order to sign up for raids, get raid information, and get the latest information on Rankings, Guild Bank information, Looting, Guild Leadership, Guild Direction, etc? You should log on frequently and definitely before raids in order to get the most updated information.
You will not be considered for promotions or raids if you do not log to the forums for information. Please apply (once you are accepted into IA) by going to the "Asylum Tech Support" forum and requesting access.
- It shall be done
